Spanish notes 1: El AlfabetoEl Alfabeto Español (Sounds of letters and letter names)  It is very important when learning Spanish, or any other language for that matter, to be able to read it properly. Spanish is a very good language because every letter (with the exception of a few) makes the same sounds all the time. This means it works phonetically, unlike English which is highly irregular. The following is a guide for reading Spanish using examples of the equivalent sounds in English. I’m going with the traditional one, not the new one that doesn’t include “ch” or “ll”.

That Was Pretty Funny...That Was Pretty Funny…   When ever I am asked to play the game “Two Truths and A Lie” I always make my facts about my friends due to the insane situations we seem to get ourselves into. Actually, I should rephrase that, it is due to the insane situations that my friends seem to get us into! No matter what the topic, I am one hundred percent sure I can come up with an outrageous story about something one of my friends has done at some time or another. To have these stories make sense though, you need to know a bit about each of the people that put the spice in my life. Nami is my best friend in Livermore and quite fondly refers to he That Was Pretty Funny...

So WrongSo Wrong     
        Everything about us is so wrong, and always has been. The day we met was the type of day when nothing remarkable ever happens. It was a slightly overcast day with a crisp breeze and I would, months later, come to find out that this day was the 28th of November. It would seem that none of this was supposed to happen by all logic that the world possesses. I was running late and supposed to be somewhere else entirely, and he, I would later know, was just passing by on his way to something. An older boy was screaming at me for something I had said. Ch 2: The ForestWe followed the boy into the rain in complete silence. The bud squished under our feet and I couldn't help to notice how torn & muddy the young boy's clothes were as we stared continuously at his back while he was leading us.   
         "Not that Andrew tackling him in the mud helped either though..." My thoughts couldn't help but to add to my observation.

Wow... its been forever and a day since I updated...

Anyway! I will be forging my way through the dust bowl for the next week! Ok, that might be slightly, but just slightly, dramatic... as Oklahoma has not been a dust bowl since the 40s but still...

Yes I am going to Oklahoma. Why? You might ask... well my uncle got sent to live there by the air force. It was either that or Iceland! So we are going to visit him and my aunt and my 3 cousins (all girls, ages 11, 10, and 6...) Needless to say I am not thrilled. But, hey, I might find something good! Who knows!

I have already been threated with death if I don't call Nami, Andrew, and Michael when I get off the plane, to inform them I am not dead. *knocks on wood* ^.^;; So if you would like one of those phone calls. Please tell me and I will be happy to call and inform you of my aliveness.

I am leaving at 2ish... so answer fast! I get on the plane around 4 and arrive in Oklahoma city a 9 PST and 11 CST (I think thats the abbreviation..) and 12 midnight East cost time! I love you all! Be safe and sound and I will miss you! Oh! And I most likely will have cell phone service due to the air force base!

Good bye! Au revoir! Adiosito! Sayonara! And whatever else they say in cartoons that I can't spell! I love you all!

^.^ *nods* I write occasionally. And yes, I have always liked love poems. Have you read Elizabeth Barrett Browning? If you like love poems they are some of the best from the Victorian Era. I can find a link if you want. They are actually all written for her husband who is also a poet and who wrote a book back to her!
